Good Food has commissioned a new Optomen series, Perfect…, which pits world-class chefs against each other to cook the perfect meal.

Two chefs are paired together in each episode to create six different recipes, three from each chef, which will include a classic recipe from their chosen food type, providing viewers with tricks and techniques. The finished dishes will then be judged by food lovers from different walks of life.

Some of the 26 chefs appearing in the series include Theo Randall and Aldo Zilli, award-winning chefs Brian Turner and Mark Sargeant and Allegra McEvedy and Paul Merrett. Recipes will be made available on Good Food’s website.

The 20 x 60-minute series was commissioned by UKTV commissioning editor, Catherine Catton, and was ordered by Good Food’s channel head, Richard Kingsbury, and UKTV’s director of multiplatform, lifestyle and factual, Jane Mote.

The series is overseen by UKTV’s commissioning executive, Julie Swanston, with Optomen’s Helen Hawken and Gary Broadhurst as executive producers.
