Viacom-owned US cablenet Logo has commissioned Setup Squad, a docu-reality series following a New York dating agency which provides professional ‘wing’ men and women for unconfident clients.

The series premieres April 25 on the gay- and lesbian-targeting channel, following the season finale of Logo’s flagship series RuPaul’s Drag Race. It is produced by Leftfield Pictures (Pawn Stars).

It follows entrepreneur Renee Lee, a self-professed dating expert in New York City, and her agency Wings, Inc. The show will be part ob-doc, part makeover show, with clients being given ‘dating makeovers’ by ‘professional wing-persons,’ who will coach the clients on how best to pick-up potential partners and thereby improve their confidence.

Brent Montgomery, Colby Gaines and David George serve as exec producers for Leftfield Pictures, while Dave Mace and Christopher Willey are exec producers for Logo.
