Shaftesbury wraps production on first factual series

The Toronto-based producer/distributor's first factual fruits come in the form of a cooking series for Food Network Canada and Cooking Channel in the U.S.

Toronto-based producer/distributor Shaftesbury has wrapped production on the first series to emerge from its factual division.

From Spain with Love: With Annie Sibonney is due to premiere on Food Network in Canada and Cooking Channel in the U.S. this May, and the series will be shopped by Shaftesbury at MIPTV in Cannes.

The series sees Sibonney, a food writer and expert on Spanish and haute cuisine, exploring the country’s culinary fabric as well as the connection between food and its people.

The series is produced by Shaftesbury in association with Henry Less Productions. Exec producers are Christina Jennings, Scott Garvie and Rachel Low for Shaftesbury and Henry Less for Henry Less Productions. The series was co-created by Annie Sibonney, Henry Less and Dale Burshtein, who also serves as producer.
