Target’s factual sells ahead of MIPTV

London-based Target Entertainment has sold factual entertainment series to Europe, Latin America and Australia, ahead of the market in Cannes.

London-based Target Entertainment has sold factual entertainment series to Europe, Latin America and Australia, ahead of the market in Cannes.

On the Record with Fuse (pictured), a 30 x 30-minute music chat show for Fuse Channel, with artists including Lady Gaga and Jay Z, has sold to MTV Australia, MTV Latin America, Globosat Brazil and ECD Italy.

Factual entertainment show Tool Academy UK, produced by Objective Productions has sold to TV4 Sweden, RTL Netherlands, MTV Australia,while the American version’s third season, produced by 495 Productions for VH1, has been picked up by Musique Plus in French Canada.

The timely one-hour documentary, appealing to the royal wedding fervor, Kate: The New Diana? produced by Target TV has sold to M6 France, SBS Netherlands, True Visions Thailand, TV3 Malaysia, TVP Poland and CTV Canada.

MTV’s dating format Next!, received a fifth series order of 44 episodes from LNK Lithuania and MTV Latin America has renewed series two to five of the U.S. version, produced by Lighthearted Entertainment and totaling 170 episodes.

Discovery has acquired the rights to a factual title package for its feeds across EMEA, the U.S. and Latin America including Border Invasions USA (5 x 60′) produced by Double Act Productions, Prospect Pictures’ My Holiday Hostage Hell (6 x 60′) and Baker Boys: Inside the Surge (4 x 60′) produced by Gigapix Television.

Target has also concluded a number of volume deal including 70 hours to 1st HD TV in Russia, 40 hours to Autentic for Top TV in South Africa, 180 hours to ECD Italy and 54 hours to Sitcom Italy across its factual and entertainment catalog.
