ITV Studios France has been commissioned by TF1 to produce a local version of Four Weddings in France.

The new commission brings the total number of international versions of Four Weddings to 13. The French production will launch later this year on TF1.

Each one-hour episode follows four French brides and their wedding ceremonies, as each wedding is scored by the other brides, who are attending as guests. The bride with the highest score wins a five star dream honeymoon.

Francois Florentiny, managing director of ITV STUDIOS France said, “Four Weddings is the perfect format for local adaptation – providing fresh content guaranteed to produce entertaining situations that any audience can relate to.  From grand occasions in our spectacular cities and magnificent chateaux to intimate affairs in our ancient towns and rolling countryside, we are looking forward to setting the Four Weddings challenge to brides-to-be throughout France!”

ITV Studios France also recently secured a local commission for a French version of travel-meets-reality format Coach Trip for M6, later this year.
