Zodiak Rights has secured a pre-sale deal with TLC for a documentary on The 27 Inch Man.

The one-hour doc is a Ronachan Films production for Channel 4 in the UK, and will premiere in the U.S. on TLC in June.

This film tells the story of Edward Hernandez, a 24-year-old man who stands at just 27 inches tall. In 2010 he was officially declared the shortest man in the world and the documentary explores the media frenzy that surrounded him.

Emily Elisha, head of factual, Zodiak Rights said in a release, “This sensitively-handled film provides an intimate insight into the extraordinary life of an man who ultimately yearns for an everyday existence.”

The 27 Inch Man will premiere on Channel 4 on April 11 as part of the “Bodyshock Strand.”

Zodiak Rights owns worldwide rights to The 27 Inch Man and launched the documentary to the international market at MIPTV.
