Oprah Winfrey is bringing her chat show to OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network by way of a greatest hits series, which will feature highlights from 25 years of the groundbreaking chat show along with previously unseen footage and new interviews.

Oprah’s Encore will air this September, following the final episode of The Oprah Winfrey show airing on CBS on May 25.

Unveiling the show at the Discovery Communications upfront presentation in New York today, Winfrey told attending advertisers the series would reveal moments that she and her team regretted, moments that made her angry, and moments when things went unexpectedly wrong on the hit show.

The series is billed as “a whole new way to watch the Oprah show” and will feature interviews with celebrities including Julia Roberts and Hugh Jackman talking about their favorite episodes.

It will feature “all new content” and there will be a number of new special episodes to tie in with the series, Winfrey promised. The show will consist of an initial run of 60 episodes.
