Chello Zone’s Zone Reality channel has acquired three series for a worldwide programming event that celebrates ordinary people who became heroes.

The premieres will transmit on Zone Reality across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), beginning on May 2.

Zone Reality has acquired rescue series Real Heroes (pictured above) from Associated Television International (13 x 30 minutes). The docu-reality series features heroes performing real-life rescues.

In You Saved My Life, rescuers and the rescued are reunited in this eight-part, 30-minute series  from Eyeworks. The series features candid interviews and sophisticated reconstructions.

The third series premiering as part of the Real-Life Heroes Campaign is Rapid Response Series 3 from TVNZ (10 x 30 minutes), which documents the teams that respond to medical emergencies in New Zealand.

Sam Rowden, director of programming for Zone Reality, said of the acquisitions: Throughout May we’re celebrating heroism with a schedule packed with action, suspense, and real-life drama.”
