Just after the acquisition of Hot Docs film In Heaven, Underground, 7th Art Releasing has picked up another doc, Lawrence Johnson’s Stuff.

7th Art Releasing has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to Stuff, which tells the story of the filmmaker’s identity crisis following his father’s death and the ensuing process of sorting through his father’s possessions.

The documentary uses photography, live-action footage, home movies and animation, to explore the loss of parents and mortality.

7th Art Releasing plans to screen Stuff on the winter festival circuit followed by an early 2012 theatrical release.
