Montreal prodco Orbi-XXI Productions has brought on new producer Andrew Makarewicz.

He’ll handle development and production spanning a range of content, but he’ll have a particular focus on youth programming and factual entertainment series.

“Andrew’s reputation as a creative champion, coupled with his financing experience makes him an important addition for the company’s continued strategic growth, both in Canada and internationally,” said president Jacques W. Lina in a statement.

The producing veteran has been in the film and TV industry for almost two decades, with 12 years of experience at CineGroupe Corporation. His producing credits include Tripping the Rift for Syfy, The Kids From Room 402 and What’s With Andy? for Fox Family, and Daft Planet and Pig City for Teletoon Canada.
