Distributor Banijay International has sold docu-reality format Seasons of Life (5 x 30 minutes) to Ukrainian commercial TV network STB, which will launch a local version this fall.

The two parties concluded the deal this week at DISCOP in Budapest and the Ukrainian version of the show will go into production shortly.

The format follows stories of four families as they go through one of life’s “four seasons,” namely birth, marriage, divorce and death. The format originated in Denmark on public broadcaster DRTV.

Banijay sales exec Luci Burnley, who is responsible for sales to Eastern Europe and present at DISCOP, said: “Seasons of Life is extremely compelling, its themes are so universal, no viewer in the world could fail to be touched by the stories which unfold within each episode.”
