Two of Endemol’s most successful formats will be making their way to Ukraine, with Big Brother and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition premiering this year.
Big Brother, which aired in 81 countries in 2010 and is still rolling out to new territories, will have its first Ukranian season produced by Endemol Poland, to air on national broadcaster K1 during primetime in the fall.
Meanwhile, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition has been commissioned for a primetime run by STB.
Also part of the activity announced at DISCOP is the renewal of talent series Operation Triumph for Ukraine, returning to Novy Channel for a fourth season.
“The Ukraine has an extremely vibrant market and it’s great to see an increase in local production in the region,” said Marina Williams, Endemol’s CEO of Central and Eastern Europe. “There is a massive trend towards reality television there and Big Brother remains at the forefront of this phenomenon. These are some of the top global formats in Endemol’s portfolio and it’s fantastic to bring them to viewers in the Ukraine.”
