Outdoor Channel launching in Serbia and Ukraine

Following last year's joint venture agreement between Outdoor Channel and Chello Zone, the brand is continuing its expansion into the EMEA market.

Following last year’s joint venture agreement between Outdoor Channel and Chello Zone, the brand is continuing its expansion into the EMEA market by launching in Serbia and Ukraine.

Outdoor Channel will launch this week as a subtitled channel on Telekom Srbija, to be carried on its OPEN IPTV platform. It will also launch on Voila, Ukraine’s largest telecommunications provider. Available in both HD and SD, it will be dubbed into Russian by end of the year.

“With access to TV’s largest outdoor programming library, Outdoor Channel is a huge hit with viewers, and its launch on Telekom Srbija and Volia further expands the channel’s footprint across EMEA,” said Tim MacMuller, Chello Zone’s general manager for Outdoor Channel.

“Following hot on the heels of recent debuts for the channel in Russia and Scandinavia, our launches in Serbia and  Ukraine show we’ve got our sights firmly set on an aggressive roll out so as many viewers as possible can experience the thrill of the chase.”

The launches follow Outdoor Channel’s move into Russia in May.
