Gwen Jones McCauley (pictured) has left Toronto-based producer-distributor Skywriter Media to return to BBC Worldwide Canada, resuming her previous role as VP of sales and coproductions.
She replaces BBCWW Canada’s VP of sales Linda Steele, who is taking an eight-month leave. “I love this job and I love the BBC,” Jones McCauley told realscreen, adding that the eight-month contract suited her perfectly at present, as she is “not looking for longer-term commitment right now.”
Jones McCauley was previously based in BBCWW’s Toronto office for 11 years, before leaving in 2009 to join kids firm Cookie Jar Entertainment for a seven-month stint as VP of distribution and sales operations.
In July last year she joined Skywriter Media as VP of distribution and acquisitions, and now leaves after just over a year with the firm. She returned to her BBCWW Canada role, based in downtown Toronto, last Monday (August 8).
There is no word on a permanent replacement for Jones McCauley at Skywriter; however, execs Ashley Rite and Ryan Mills will be handling distribution for the indie in the interim.
