Terranoa bringing wildlife and racing to Biarritz

Paris-based distributor Terranoa has secured three package deals with RAI 5, Histoire and Red Media Group in Russia, and has plans to launch seven new hours at Le Rendez-Vous, the French screening event in Biarritz.

Next week in Biarritz, Terranoa will be representing the three-part 52 minute wildlife  series Meet My Wild Friend, which profiles young children’s special relationship with wild animals, and the one-off, 52-minute car racing doc Alain Prost, Racing Through Life (pictured).

The distributor is currently picking up rights for projects in development for MIP.

Sales over the summer for the French distributor include NHK, Noga, Russia 2 and SVT picking up Solar Impulse: The Wings Of  The Sun, which documents the construction and 26-hour flight of an airplane functioning only with solar energy. SVT also bought the event program Volcano Devils, an account of the last days of vulcanologists Maurice and Katja Kraft.

300 Days Alone On An Island, whichfollows adventurer Xavier Rosset as he tries to survive in the middle of the South Pacific, has sold to Planète, NDR, BBC Alba and HiFi Canada; while Portraits,  Self  Portraits sold to Globosat,  RTM  in Morocco and Babel TV in Italy. This series celebrates the UN’s International Children’s Day on November 20.

Also, RAI 5 and DRTV recently bought In The Footsteps Of Tintin,  the 5 x 52-minute series which is also making its theatrical debut this fall.
