3net to debut “Skeleton, Inc.”

A reality special focusing on a family business dedicated to turning animal and human skeletons into art is the newest 3D offering from the joint venture between Sony, Discovery and IMAX.

A reality special focusing on a family business dedicated to turning animal and human skeletons into art is the newest 3D offering from the joint venture between Sony, Discovery and IMAX.

Skeleton, Inc will premiere as a one-hour, primetime special on September 18 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

The Hoff Productions reality title focuses on Skulls Unlimited owner Jay Villemarette, his wife Kim and their four kids as they operate their unique business. At Skulls Unlimited, they process bodies, from the skin and fur to the organs, and clean and polish the bones before they assemble the skeletal remains.

Their art has appeared in collections at museums, universities and the homes of everyday aficionados around the world.

‘We’ve definitely upped the ante by bringing a dramatic, shocking and very unconventional kind of reality program to 3net,” said Tom Cosgrove, the network’s president and CEO.  “We expect Skeleton, Inc. to be a very provocative special – one that stretches the boundaries of 3D television by bringing the exotic business of skeletal creation to life like never before.”
