The TV2 Norway and The Documentary Company film on the recent massacre in Oslo and the island of Utoya has sold to a raft of broadcasters, including TV4 Sweden, MTV Oy Finland and TV2 Denmark.

Nordic World reports that deals have also closed with SC B1 Tv Channel SRL in Romania, TVP Telewizja Polska in Poland, BNN, Noga Communications in Israel, Schweizer Fernsehen SSR/SF and RTS Radio Television in Switzerland, and to Chello Multicanal Odisea and Radio Television Espanola RTVE in Spain.

Terror Island is the first Norwegian-produced documentary about the tragic events of July 22, 2011, when 77 people were killed by a shooting spree and bomb in Oslo and on the holiday island of Utoya.

The 58-minute film documents the rampage of self-confessed killer Anders Behring Breivik with exclusive footage.

“It makes sense that this documentary is so appealing to global audiences and in such high international demand as it is such a massive story,” said Nordic World CEO, Espen S Huseby, who added that “the production team has intentionally kept the killer’s name, face and identity out and focused on the victims only.”
