SevenOne gets “Indestructibles”

Munich-based SevenOne International, the sales arm of ProSiebenSat.1 subsidiary Red Arrow Entertainment Group, has been tapped to be the international distributor of National Geographic Channel’s series The Indestructibles (pictured).

The show’s 10 hour-long episodes are produced by Storyhouse Productions. Axel Böhm, director of regional sales and international fiction acquisition for SevenOne International, said: “The Indestructibles is a one-of-a-kind series.

“With its unique combination of spectacular accidents, real-life footage, and visually captivating experiments, this outstanding show will fascinate viewers around the world.”

Jens Richter, group director for international distribution at RedArrow Entertainment Group, told realscreen: “We have real footage of near death situations, situations where the people involved should be dead, but they survived. We give them the unexpected explanations why these people could have survived these mind-blowing catastrophes.”

In other news, SevenOne has also sold six formats into Ukraine. Channel 1+1 will debut the 2010 Rose d’Or winner Benidorm Bastards – the hidden camera show from Shelter which is being turned into Betty White’s Off Their Rockers by Kinetic Content for NBC - and the comedy show M!LF – Man Liberation Front.

Another format, The Successor – The next Uri Geller, debuted at the end of August on Ukraine’s STB.

Ukraine already airs three other SevenOne formats; game show My Man Can on 1+1, science magazine Galileo airs on channel K1, and comedy format Kick the Pros was broadcast on Inter.
