Distributor Target Entertainment has picked up the international rights to UK net Channel 5′s reality series Tamara Ecclestone: Billion $$ Girl, which focuses on the life of the socialite (pictured) as she embarks on her own business ventures.

The six-part, 30-minute reality series from Twofour Broadcast stars Ecclestone, the daughter of supermodel Slavica and Formula 1 racing CEO Bernie Ecclestone.

It follows Ecclestone as she begins to launch her retail company of hair care products, as well as being the new model for Ultimo Couture lingerie. On the home front, she’s also renovating her new £45 million (US$69.8 million) home in London.

Tamara Ecclestone: Billion $$ Girl promises exclusive access into the socialite’s life, with parties, charity balls and Formula 1 all included in the series.

Alison Rayson, CEO of Target Entertainment said:  “Tamara Ecclestone: Billion $$ Girl is the perfect addition to our portfolio of entertainment shows. The massive demand for reality programming has not abated and the exclusive access Twofour has secured affords a fascinating glimpse into Tamara’s amazing lifestyle. The series is guaranteed to be a hit with audiences worldwide.”

Melanie Leach, MD of Twofour Broadcast, added: “Tamara is full of surprises. She might travel by private jet and think nothing of spending £1 million on a crystal bath, but she still suffers from the same problems as the rest of us. She fights with her boyfriend and worries about her family – for one of the richest women in the world, she’s still someone we can all relate to.”
