Electric Sky opens Hong Kong office

UK-based factual distributor Electric Sky has appointed ex-Endemol Asia sales and licensing manager Nuno I to head up its new Hong Kong branch.

UK-based factual distributor Electric Sky has appointed ex-Endemol Asia sales and licensing manager Nuno I to head up its new Hong Kong branch.

In his new role, Nuno I will report to UK-based head of sales Amy Kemp. Electric Sky said that Nuno I brings significant experience of key Asian territories including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao, and will be focusing on increasing distribution as well as seeking out content holders within the region.

Electric Sky’s CEO David Pounds said: “This is the first of some planned initiatives to make Electric Sky more region-centric with a view to increasing sales and attracting regional content.”

He added that the appointment would further strengthen the company’s capacity to exploit its shows internationally.  Nuno I will start his new role in late October to tie in with attending the Asian TV market TIFFCOM.
