U.S. net Oxygen has greenlit The Next Big Thing (working title), a show following music coach Trapper Felides as he trains a group of performers aspiring for their big break in show business.

The series is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions and Omelette Bar Productions, with Izzie Pick Ashcroft, Jo Honig, Jane Tranter, Stacey Angeles and Eric Cyphers serving as exec producers.

The net has also greenlit Brooklyn Crew, produced by Ish Entertainment, which looks at the lives of two lifelong groups of friends who have been torn apart by jealousy and rivalry; and Tanisha Gets Married (w/t), from 495 Productions, which documents the wedding preparations of Tanisha Thomas (Bad Girls Club, Love Games).

All three new series are scheduled to air on Oxygen in 2012. Oxygen Media president Jason Klarman said: “These are great additions to our line up of live out loud shows, featuring the topics and the personalities our target audience is obsessed about. They all complement and build on our successful franchises.”
