The New York Television Festival is expanding internationally with a UK-based spin-off event, NYTVF London, taking place on November 11 this year.

The event will feature an afternoon of panels focusing on opening the U.S. television market up to UK-based independent TV producers and production companies, followed by a cocktail reception.

At the event, sponsor Fox Television Studios, in conjunction with Apostle and Warner Bros. International Television Production, will announce guaranteed development initiatives with the NYTVF, open exclusively to UK producers.

The NYTVF, in conjunction with each studio, will begin accepting submissions from producers on November 11, with additional details around these opportunities to be announced. BBC America will host the NYTVF London opening session, as well as the event’s closing cocktail reception.

“We are coming off of our flagship New York Television Festival, in which nine industry partners presented 13 guaranteed deals to U.S.-based creators, and nearly 40 networks, studios, agencies and production companies met with over 200 artists to begin relationships that could yield many more deals to come,” said NYTVF Founder Terence Gray.

“We’re excited to expand our development relationships to serve the exceptional creative community in the UK. I’m certain that there are many producers that will be excited by the opportunities being presented by our development partners.”

The event, taking place at 195 Piccadilly in London, will be hosted with the support of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and the UK-based Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television.
