Discovery Fit & Health is expanding the pilot of Facing Trauma, which chronicles the stories of individuals who have been left disfigured by violent circumstances, into a five-part series, to air later this month.

Discovery Fit & Health is expanding the pilot of Facing Trauma, which chronicles the stories of individuals who have been left disfigured by violent circumstances, into a five-part series, to air later this month.

The 5 x 60-minutes series is by Park Slope Productions and the first episode launches October 26 at 10 p.m. EST. The order builds on the pilot which aired in February this year.

The series follows the work of Dr. Andrew Jacono, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has made it his mission to serve the victims of devastating acts of domestic violence and crime, as well as accidents.

Paul Reitano and Terrence Sacchi are the executive producers for Park Slope Productions and Lynn Sadofsky is executive producer for Discovery Fit & Health.
