Syfy has ordered six episodes of School Spirits, a one-hour docuseries on haunted schools from Survivor producer Mark Burnett and Celebrity Ghost Stories producer Seth Jarrett.

Told through first person narratives of students, parents, teachers and staff, as well as reenactments, the docuseries features ghostly encounters that have occurred at schools across the country.

Mark Stern, president of original programming for Syfy and co-head of content for Universal Cable Productions, said: “School hauntings are some of the most terrifying first-hand accounts. The stories that have terrified generations of students and teachers are not for the faint-of-heart.

“With Mark and Seth as executive producers, we look forward to delivering another gripping paranormal series for our viewers.”
