TLC picks up ITV1′s Susan Boyle documentary

U.S. lifestyle net TLC has picked up Susan Boyle: An Unlikely Superstar, a Firecracker Films-produced documentary originally commissioned by UK net ITV1, which looks at the life of the Scottish Got Talent singer (pictured).

U.S. lifestyle net TLC has picked up Susan Boyle: An Unlikely Superstar, a Firecracker Films-produced documentary looking at the life of the Scottish Got Talent singer (pictured).

TLC will air the doc on November 6 at 8 p.m. EST. The special was filmed over seven weeks by director Osca Humphreys (My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding), and follows Boyle as she prepares to to launch her third album under the guidance of mentor Simon Cowell.

The documentary was originally commissioned by UK network ITV1 and is distributed internationally by Zodiak Rights, which picked up rights to the program in September.
