He may be out of the running for this season’s Dancing with the Stars, but Chaz Bono will be returning to the small screen in late November.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network will air Being Chaz, the sequel to the Emmy-nominated Becoming Chaz, on November 27, at 8 p.m. EST.

Like its predecessor, the sequel, originally announced in July under the title of Chaz and Jen, is produced by Hollywood-based World of Wonder Productions and exec produced by its principals Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato. Elise Duran is director and co-exec producer.

The new hour-long special follows the couple as they face the new challenges and triumphs brought about by Bono’s gender reassignment surgery, as documented in Becoming Chaz. The film also┬ácaptures Bono’s decision to appear on Dancing with the Stars and the controversy that followed.

Being Chaz will be followed by I Am Jazz: A Family in Transition, an hour-long special following a family and its 11-year-old transgender daughter. The program is directed by Jen Stocks and executive produced by Bill Hayes, Kirk Streb, Wayne Mahon and Mark Gottwald of Figure 8 Films.
