Optomen International, the distribution arm of Optomen Television, has sold assorted series featuring Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal and Mary Portas to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia, Central Europe and Africa.

Retail specialist Mary Portas will be seen on BBC Lifestyle Asia in her latest series, Secret Shopper (pictured). The four-part, one-hour show follows Portas as she exposes poor customer service. BBC Lifestyle Asia has also re-licensed series two of Mary Queen of Shops.

BBC Lifestyle in Asia has also acquired series featuring celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal. The network took season four of Kitchen Nightmares USA and the one-off special Heston’s Fishy Feast. Both series are also due to air across the broadcaster’s African and Polish BBC Lifestyle and BBC Entertainment channels.

Meanwhile, Channel 4′s Big Fish Fight special Gordon Ramsay’s Shark Bait is set to air on BBC America, BBC Lifestyle Poland and BBC Lifestyle Africa.

Caroline Stephenson, director of sales for Optomen International, brokered the BBC deal. “The BBC channels have a fantastic global reach and we are delighted that their viewers around the globe are going to enjoy more of our brilliant series from Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal and Mary Portas,” she said.
