Scripps appoints director of programming for home category

Scripps Networks Interactive has named Dale Roy Robinson as its director of programming for its home category.

In the role, Robinson will oversee production for original programming on DIY Network and HGTV.

Reporting to Ross Babbit, senior vice president/general manager of DIY Network, Robinson is responsible for program development, production, and on-air talent acquisition for several DIY Network primetime series and specials; and will manage assorted series and specials for HGTV.

Before joining Scripps, Robinson was a freelance film and television producer and director, and has worked on programming for such nets as NBC, MTV, VH1, CMT, G4 and GSN.

Scripps Networks Interactive also announced the promotion of Heather Jagels from manager of creative services to director.
