London-based distributor DRG has negotiated a raft of deals with U.S., Spain and Ukraine broadcasters who have commissioned or optioned the NRK formats Teenage Boss and My Celebrity Boyfriend.

Teenage Boss lands in the Ukraine on terrestrial broadcaster STB, while independent producers in Spain and the Netherlands have picked up the series for production.

The format centers around one teen in control of his or her family’s finances for 30 days. Teenage Boss just launched in Norway on NRK1 , while YLE in Finland and DR in Denmark are developing the format to launch in 2012.

Meanwhile, the newly launched My Celebrity Boyfriend has been secured for the U.S. by High Noon Entertainment and in Finland by Nordisk Films. This social experiment format tasks one single lady to date eight well-known men to see what it’s like to live in their world. It currently airs on NRK3 in Norway.

“These formats reach out to young target groups and hit them with relevance in an entertaining manner,” said Ole Hedemann, head of format development at NRK.
