“World’s Worst Mom” makes international debut

The series, featuring controversial parenting expert Lenore Skenazy, is rolling out internationally via TLC and other lifestyle nets, with a debut on Canada's Slice, as Bubble Wrap Kids, slated for January 3.

Lenore Skenazy, a controversial columnist and parenting expert who garnered international notoriety by allowing her nine-year-old son to ride the New York City subway by himself, is the star of a reality series rolling out through TLC International and Canadian lifestyle net Slice.

World’s Worst Mom, a realscreen MIPCOM Pick, premiered this weekend via TLC in Romania, and will air in assorted territories through 2012. In Canada, the 13-part series will air on Shaw Media’s Slice as Bubble Wrap Kids, premiering on January 3.

In each episode, Skenazy helps overprotective parents loosen their grips on their kids, putting the families through challenges designed to provide more independence for the children and greater peace of mind for all concerned.

The series is a Cineflix (Free Kids) Inc. production in association with Shaw Media, Canal Vie and TLC International with Simon Lloyd as executive producer. For TLC International, Jon Sechrist is executive producer.
