Realscreen Summit pitching competition extends deadline

Submissions for the Realscreen Summit's pitching competition, So You Think You Can Pitch, will now be accepted up to Friday, January 6, 2012.

The Realscreen Summit has extended the submission deadline for its┬ápopular pitch competition, “So You Think You Can Pitch.”

The session takes place on January 31, 2012, offering brave producers the opportunity to pitch their projects to a panel of discerning industry judges. Now, producers and filmmakers have until Friday, January 6, 2012, to submit their projects.

The session, sponsored by CABLEready, provides an invaluable experience for participants as well as great entertainment and learning value for producers and broadcasters in attendance.

Judges confirmed for the competition include Simon Andreae, SVP development and production, West Coast, for Discovery Channel; Bridget Whalen Hunnicutt, SVP of global development and production for National Geographic Channel; Gary Lico, president and CEO of CABLEready; and Brandon Riegg,vice president, alternative programming & development, NBC and Universal Television.

Prizes include a pass to the 2013 Realscreen Summit, a one-year subscription to CableU and a GoPro HD Helmet HERO Camera.
