Rive Gauche TV ups Tomas Silva

The Los Angeles-based independent distributor has upped veteran Latin American sales executive Tomas Silva to VP of international sales.

Los Angeles-based independent distributor Rive Gauche Television has promoted international sales exec Tomas Silva to VP of international sales.

Since joining the company four years ago, he has overseen its distribution entry into Latin America. “Tomas has played a pivotal role in furthering Rive Gauche as an important supplier of top programming in the region,” said chairman and CEO Jon Kramer in a statement.

“Under his guidance, we have built strong relationships with major broadcasters and achieved impressive sales of our expansive catalog of reality and documentary programming across the all-important Latin American region.”

Silva began his television career at Buenos Aires-based Dinter Television, representing Brazil’s TV Globo for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. He has since held senior positions at APA International Films and Unapix International. He also produced the Spanish soap opera El Magnate and the Latin American sitcom SKIMO, a coproduction between The Macias Group and MTV Network Latin America.
