On the heels of Electus International acquiring three Spike series, the global distribution arm of Ben Silverman’s multimedia studio has also sealed distribution deals for VH1′s Mob Wives (pictured) and NBC’s upcoming Fashion Star.

Networks in almost 100 countries, including Australia’s LifeStyle You, Canada’s Shaw Media, and MTV Latin America, have picked up the second season of Mob Wives.

The reality series – from JustJenn Productions, The Weinsten Company, Electus and Left/Right – follows four women who are married to or are daughters of men in the Mob. VH1 is launching a spin-off, Mob Wives: Chicago, in the spring, with a new cast of women.

John Pollak, president of Electus International, said: “Echoing the domestic success of the series with season two and the upcoming Chicago spin-off in the works, Mob Wives is quickly becoming a franchise that VH1 and our international partners can really build around.”

Electus International and The Weinstein Company own distribution rights across all platforms including television, motion picture and digital.

Elsewhere, Electus International has agreed a deal for Fashion Star with Asia’s Diva Universal, which will premiere the 10-episode competition series across 20 countries in Asia in the spring, following NBC’s U.S. debut of the series on March 13 at 9/8 p.m. CST.

The Elle Macpherson-hosted fashion competition series is produced by Electus, 5×5 Media, Magical Elves and EJD Productions, and sees 14 designers having the opportunity to build a fashion brand to be sold at Macy’s, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue.

David Gunson, Universal Networks International VP of channels for South East Asia, said: “The Fashion Star format is one-of-a-kind in reality fashion entertainment and an exciting addition to Diva Universal’s strong line-up of new shows this year. Fashion Star will greatly appeal to Diva Universal’s female audience with its fresh format and high entertainment value.”

The Fashion Star format was developed by Electus’ Ben Silverman, 5×5 Media’s Rick Ringbakk, and E.J. Johnston and James Deutch of EJD Productions. Electus International retains all international distribution rights.
