London- and Paris-based global entertainment company Zodiak Media Group has rebranded as Zodiak Media and announced a series of executive appointments as part of a wider strategy to strengthen group operations and planning for the future.

Vincent Chalvon Demersay, CEO of Zodiak-owned Marathon Media, has been named chief strategy officer, while Marathon Media general manager David Michel has been appointed SVP of group marketing and Valérie Tailland, head of communications at Zodiak France, has become director of group communication. All three execs will carry out their new roles in addition to their existing ones and are based in the company’s Paris offices.

The news comes on the heels of Zodiak Media’s refinancing of its banking arrangements in local markets to place management of group finance through one international syndicate of banks in the French capital.

“The new identity and the key appointments announced today underline the successful integration of Zodiak Media’s component parts and our ambitions for its future development,” Zodiak’s group chief executive David Frank said in a statement. “The refinancing is also a key ingredient in this future development. Our aim is to allow each of our producers to express their creative talents individually while being empowered by the scale and power of our combined activities.”
