“Love in the Wild” heads to TLC in Norway, Denmark

Adventure dating series Love in the Wild has been acquired by Discovery Networks Western Europe for TLC in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.

The first two seasons of the Endemol USA series see 10 single men and women paired up as they compete in challenges in Costa Rica. The winning couple receive a trip around the world.

The eight-part, one-hour series premiered on U.S. network NBC in June 2011, with a second season set to air this year. Discovery Networks Western Europe also picked up documentary Glamour Models, Mum and Me, a one-off for TLC Netherlands.

The doc focuses on the relationship between plastic surgery obsessed model Alicia Douvall and her 14-year-daughter Georgia. The Firecracker Films production debuted in August 2010 on UK net BBC3.

Paul Edwards, Discovery’s head of lifestyle and entertainment for Western Europe, said: “We’re very pleased to have secured such well-known programs to ensure an exciting programming slate coming up for our viewers. Both shows were very successful in their markets and I’m sure they will be a huge hit for us as well.”
