Left/Right, one of the prodcos behind Mob Wives, has made two hires and upped one of its team members.
The New York-based prodco has hired Nina L. Diaz (pictured, middle) as senior vice president, current production; Angie Day (right) as vice president, development and current production; and promoted Anneka Jones (left) to senior vice president, development.
Diaz, who is executive producer of Mob Wives and spin-offs Mob Wives: Chicago and Mob Wives: The Sit Down, will play an active role in development and ongoing series production. She will continue as executive producer on the Mob Wives franchise. Diaz has also been a showrunner of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and was creator of MTV’s My Super Sweet 16 and Cribs.
Day comes on board as vice president, development and current production, and will work across Left/Right’s slate of formats, series and special series. She has served as a creator, writer and showrunner on series including Made and Sex…With Mom and Dad.
Jones has been with the Left/Right team from its inception and has been promoted from her role of the head of development. She will continue to head up and manage the prodco’s development team and will oversee and manage Left/Right’s staffing and recruiting efforts.
The hires come on the heels of record numbers for VH1′s Mob Wives, with its season two premiere bringing in 2.4 million viewers. The Mob Wives series are produced by Left/Right, Just Jenn Productions, The Weinstein Company, and Electus.
“These are exciting times for Left/Right, and we are so happy to be working with Nina, Anneka, and Angie – three great producers who are so much smarter than we are,” said company co-president Banks Tarver.
Added co-president Ken Druckerman, “Nina, Angie, and Anneka will give us the critical creative bandwidth that we will need as we continue to grow, not only on new project development, but also on current series production, as well.”
