Gurassa joins Parthenon board

Parthenon Media Group, parent company to UK factual prodco/distributor Parthenon Entertainment, has appointed Charles Gurassa as the non-executive chairman of its board.
Gurassa is currently non-executive chairman of Tragus, the restaurant group, and Genesis Housing Association. He is also deputy chairman at easyJet and MACH, a hub-based mobile communications exchange operator, and a trustee of the National Trust. He is a former chairman of Virgin Mobile, LoveFilm, Phones4U and Alamo/National Rent a Car.
He has also served as chief executive of Thomson Travel Group, executive chairman for TUI Northern Europe, and director, passenger and cargo business at British Airways. Gurassa was non-executive director at Whitbread and Merlin Entertainments as well.
“We believe his chairmanship of other leading media businesses and his knowledge of international markets will help us accelerate our expansion to become a leading global media group,” said Carl Hall, CEO of Parthenon Media Group, of the appointment.
