Twofour names head of docs

UK indie Twofour has named David Clews (pictured), the director of ob-doc series Educating Essex, as its head of documentaries, effective immediately.
Reporting to Twofour’s creative director Andrew Mackenzie, Clews will oversee the company’s documentary output for major UK and international broadcasters. He brings experience to the role having produced observational documentaries including Surviving Gazza, Boys from the Brown Stuff, and the BAFTA- and Grierson-nominated series The Family.
“After making Educating Essex at Twofour I’m thrilled to be coming back as head of docs,” said Clews. “I’m really looking forward to building on the success of the series; exec’ing new series and singles equally as warm, moving and important.”
“David’s one of the most talented and sought after filmmakers in our industry,” added Mackenzie. “I’m exceptionally pleased he’s joining our team at Twofour to continue growing an award-winning portfolio.”
