Vienna-based distributor Autlook Filmsales is taking Peace Versus Justice, a copro between Submarine, VPRO, and ITVS International, to MIPDoc.

The  documentary, directed by Klaartje Quirijns, will hit the market in Cannes following the recent massive popularity of the short doc, Kony 2012, which has been viewed more than 73 million times on YouTube and reposted on social media sites around the world in just one week as part of a campaign by non-profit Invisible Children.

Peace Versus Justice is billed as awell researched and balanced look at the complex international battle against the Lord’s Resistance Army,” the army led by warlord Joseph Kony.

Director Quirijns followed the International Criminal Court (ICC) and Uganda’s politicians during their peace negotiations with Kony for many years, gaining access to rare recordings of the negotiations and to Kony’s right hand man.

Autlook Filmsales has worldwide distribution rights.

The doc premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in January 2012.
