Zodiak Rights is launching clip-based show Totally Insane Guinness World Records at MIPTV, as part of its recent international distribution and production deal with Guinness World Records TV (GWR TV).

The 8 x 30-minute series, known as Totally Bonkers Guinness World Records on ITV2 in the UK, was produced by IMG Media, part of IMG Worldwide.

The Guinness World Records back catalog, with more than 750 hours of programming, forms the basis of this series, which shows record attempts from around the world.

Last fall, Zodiak Rights and GWR TV entered into an agreement for Zodiak to distribute GWR TV’s entire catalog. Additionally, Zodiak Media Group’s network of 45 local production companies work with GWR TV to develop programs and formats with the Guinness World Records content and brand.

“Guinness World Records recognizes and rewards the most unusual and unique of talents. The shows are fresh and funny and mine the rich archive of clips and characters from around the world – it’s a celebration of the truly global nature of the Guinness World Records phenomenon,” said Alex Gale, IMG’s series producer.
