The Ex Oriente Film series, a year-long international workshop that supports the development and funding of creative documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe, is accepting applications until April 20.

During three workshops held over the course of the year, directors and producers develop their projects and funding strategies with assistance and advice from established European producers, directors, commissioning editors and other experts in the field.

The training program is completed with the East European Forum, which gives doc-makers a chance to pitch projects and secure funding from West European and North American broadcasters.

Out of all submissions, 14 applicants will be chosen, or 28 participants (14 director-producer teams). Participants must be proficient in English and all workshop sessions must be attended by both the producer and the director of the project.
