The team that brought us the critically acclamied Channel 4 historical series Blitz Street takes us back to the final years of the Allied campaign in the Second World War. With a mix of previously unseen archive materials from the Imperial War Museum and National Archives, explosive re-enactments using actual WWII firepower, and gripping first-person testimonials, World War II: The Last Heroes depicts the war as seen by the Allied troops, from the D-Day landing to the suicide of Hitler in Berlin.
