Discovery Networks International (DNI) has greenlit 20 hours of original programming from UK-based production company Maverick Television.

The commissions include 15 hours of lifestyle programming and five hours of factual that will air globally.

Among the programs are Body Confidential (4 x 60-minutes), starring TV and radio personality Lisa Snowdon, and the second season of personal transformation series My Naked Secret (12 x 30-minutes), which first aired in Poland before airing on TLC around the world, on Real Time in the UK and in the United States on Discovery Fit & Health.

The show follows people that struggle with a secret body issue and captures the moment they reveal it to friends and decide to seek medical help.

The renewal marks the first time an original DNI series has been greenlit for a second season, the company said.

Maverick TV’s Simone Haywood will executive produce both series. On the network side, Sarah Thornton will executive produce Body Confidential and Jon Sechrist will executive produce My Naked Secret.

Details of the remaining 10 hours of content are to be unveiled at a later date, according to DNI.
