Electus to take “Canada’s Smartest Person” worldwide

Electus International, the global distribution arm of Ben Silverman's multimedia studio Electus, has been named the worldwide distributor for CBC and Media Headquarters' Canada's Smartest Person format.

Electus International, the global distribution arm of Ben Silverman’s multimedia studio Electus, has been named the worldwide distributor for CBC and Media Headquarters’ Canada’s Smartest Person .

The primetime competition format, an original Media Headquarters production made in association with CBC Television and Group M Entertainment, takes four top finalists, selected through a nation-wide application process, to undergo an “intelligence obstacle course.” The person with the most strengths across the board earns the title of Canada’s Smartest Person.

The interactive series sees viewers going head-to-head with the finalists on smart phones, tablets or home computers, usingĀ the Canada’s Smartest PersonĀ app.

“We are delighted to be joining forces with Electus to bring Canada’s Smartest Person to the global market,” said Robert Cohen, creator and executive producer of Canada’s Smartest Person. “Canada’s Smartest Person is a format that transcends borders with a cutting edge definition of smarts.
