Actor Alan Cumming (pictured) is to take Sky Atlantic viewers on walking tours of British urban centers in City Secrets, an 8 x 60-minute series produced by London-based indie Twofour.

In each episode, The Good Wife star will chart the historical evolution of a city and feature local celebrities and experts that will recount facts and stories about a destination that aren’t included in the typical tourist brochure.

City Secrets will offer an intriguing insight into not only the iconic landmarks of the various cities, but also the hidden gems that lie off the tourist trail,” Celia Taylor, Sky’s head of features and factual, said in a statement. “It is a refreshing stretch of the legs for Sky Atlantic.”

The show will be executive produced for Twofour by Dan Adamson and the commission is part of the pay-TV channel’s commitment to increase its investment in original British content by 50% over the next three years.
