CBS unleashes “Dogs In the City”

U.S. broadcast network CBS is to premiere a reality series starring New York City dog guru Justin Silver (pictured), called Dogs in the City, on May 30.

The series, produced by CBS’s Raquel Productions, in association with Shed Media US and Carol Mendelsohn Productions, follows Silver as he solves issues between canines and their owners.

In each episode he meets with clients, including a couple looking to move in together where the girlfriend is scared of her boyfriend’s golden retriever; and a recently divorced couple whose dog is having a hard time adjusting to the split.

“Dogs are at the center of the story here, but this is a show that reveals as much about human nature as man’s best friend,” said executive producer Carol Mendelsohn.

“Dogs are often a lightning rod for their owners’ emotions and dysfunction at home. Justin has an amazing gift to break down these complex issues with incredible heart, humor and, sometimes, much-needed candor.”

Julie Weitz, Mendelsohn, Jen O’Connell and Nick Emmerson are executive producers. Gerry Greengrass serves as co-executive producer.
