Former CMT executive John Feld has joined Scripps Networks Interactive as director of programming for HGTV and DIY Network.

In the Knoxville-based role, he will manage series and specials for both networks, and will report to Steven Lerner, Scripps’ vice president of programming.

Most recently a staff writer and producer on HGTV’s design series Interiors, Inc, Feld also previously served as CMT’s director of program development and production. His other roles includes director of field production for Martha Stewart Living, and producer of programs for Disney Channel and A&E.

“John’s extensive writing, producing and directing experience makes him a strong new addition to the HGTV and DIY Network programming teams,” said Lerner.
