Prospect hires Nikki Cooper as EP, popular factual

The veteran lifestyle producer is returning to the UK factual prodco to develop a range of new formats in the cookery space.

London-and-Cardiff-based Prospect Pictures has hired Nikki Cooper as executive producer, popular factual. Based out of the company’s London office, Cooper will develop a range of lifestyle formats for the DCD-owned factual prodco, with a particular focus on original food programming ideas.

She was previously a producerĀ at Denham where she oversaw programs such as The Hungry Sailors for ITV1 and prior to that, she had worked with Prospect on UKTV’s flagship cookery show Great Food Live and ITV1′s Daily Cooks Challenge.

“Lifestyle, and particularly food programming, is an exciting, ever-changing area of TV to focus on. It’s a genre which is bursting with energetic new talent,” she said in a statement. “I am keen to develop inspiring, fresh formats that might have a positive effect on the way we live and in particular, what and how we eat.”

Tim Hammond, Prospect’s managing director of UK production added that Cooper’s hire will further expand the company’s reputation in the lifestyle genre.
