U.S. network The CW has added rapper Nelly and musician Joe Jonas to the upcoming singing competition series The Next: Fame is at Your Doorstep as the last two celebrity mentors.

The series, formerly known as The Star Next Door, is produced by CBS’s Raquel Productions, in association with 25/7 Productions, and Flavor Unit Entertainment, and premieres later this year.

The Next will feature a nationwide search for undiscovered artists on the verge of stardom, and previously announced mentors Gloria Estefan and John Rich, alongside Jonas and Nelly, will travel to where the talent is, immersing themselves in the lives and towns of these performers.

Nelly has sold more than 30 million albums/singles and also has a fitness DVD, a clothing line, and is co-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats NBA team, while Jonas and his siblings have made chart-topping albums as the Jonas Brothers.
