A+E Networks ups Sean Cohan

A+E Networks has promoted Sean Cohan (pictured) from senior VP to executive VP of international.

In his new role, Cohan will manage the company’s┬ábranded channels, content sales and digital media distribution outside the United States, and oversee staff based in New York, London and Singapore. A+E operates 54 branded international pay-TV channels and distributes content across a range of platforms.

“Sean has played an integral role in the growth of A+E Networks around the world,” said Abbe Raven, the company’s president and CEO. “His leadership and vision has helped catapult our brands into global powerhouses now in more than 150 countries and 37 languages.”

Prior to becoming senior VP of A+E Networks’ international division, Cohen held positions in the company’s business development division, before which he worked for Primedia, Morgan Stanley, NBC and A.T. Kearney.
